I am having a hell of an evening... I can’t get under this trailer. The landing gear on the one side won’t go up whatsoever and the tires wont even go under the trailer on the broken side. Any ideas on what to do? There is a forklift there... I have a jack but only 2 ton, not 20.

Assuming that the side with the handle is the one going up, look and see if the pipe crossing to the jack on the other side is turning the jack input on that side. I have had the bolts that run through the pipe and input on the jack itself shear, to where it is not turning the jack.

If everything is turning, then it is time for new landing gear.

Try goin at it on the broken leg side corner of nose with the air ride down and gettin at it with the 5th wheel..
If its really rubbin the tires hard then either a tow trk to lift it,shunt trk with lower profile tires or fork lift..
If its just gonna scuff the tires a lil then its your call to ram it sorta speak..

Then do what with the leg that won't come up?
Have you dropped the air to where you get the back part of the frame under it, then put a piece of dunnage on the frame and raise it. it usually takes 2 or 3 times with different boards to get one high enough like this, and helps if both legs works, but it can usually be done. If you can't get it working and get hooked up, I would tell them to fix it before I tried forcing it and breaking something, but that is me, and I am not there.

Leave it alone and let the owners fix it.

You get hooked up to it. Then what you gonna do. You can't get the gear to work. And what you going to do when it's time to drop it.

That trailer is OOS. Just leave it alone.

Unless, of course, you're taking it to get fixed.

Update: I’m hooked up to it and pulled over because that side of fell down. When I got to the yard this morning the trailer was sitting normal and I assumed it was fixed. I will check the bar that goes across now.

Don't assume. Check things that should have been repaired. Always. If you had taken the time when you got to the truck this morning to run the legs all the way down and back up, you would be better off now. Always double check.
