This guy passed me twice on the Interstate within the span of about 3 hours, so he wasn't just going "a couple miles down the road".

Couldn't get a pic, but passed one of the Minneapolis crane companies earlier. Step with some sort of used refrigeration equipment, about 30' long. Had tiedowns about 20' apart, had clevises in those and chain through the clevis.

But here's the kicker: Had the chain (singular) hooked through the rub rail well in front of the first clevis, and hooked through rub rail well behind the rear one. Ratchet boomer in the center drooped about a foot below the rail, swaying in the breeze.

I was half hoping to see someone brake check him so I could watch it slam into the step.

I picked up a loaded trailer that had a binder under it like that, loose when I picked it, it had come out of Canada, so I tightened it up, stopped 10 miles out and it was loose again, so again I tightened it up. I stopped again after about 25 miles and it was loose again, so I get to investigating under the tarp. The binder was hooked to two different chains and the load was just sitting on top of one of them, the other end was not hooked to anything. lol
