Just cause the calculator says it will don't mean it can.....it takes hp and alot of it to over come the wind at that speed. I figure she's good for 81 or 2 mph any day of the week

I've been driving over 15 years and still haven't got a speeding ticket and my wife calls me "grandpa" when I drive.

 

I did 124 in my old FRS one time. A charger passed me like I was standing still. Told me later that he got it up to 146.

 

I think I was fighting most with the wind today. Straight out of the west since Council Bluffs and I wasn't about to shoot for the Hillsboro rest area with about 3 minutes to spare and unknown conditions and a setting sun.



Bit of freezing rain snow mix from Sioux Falls to north of Watertown. Lots of people not realizing it wasn't sunny and wet/icy. But I made it here without issue (outside of sore shoulders from fighting the gusts). These aero cabs sure are good at cutting the wind head on but they sure stink against a side wind.

Should be rolling between 4 and 5 to get me home before noon.

 

There was a case of 149 in our hometown. A trooper clocked a 2015 Dodge Dart while sitting in the middle at the 80. Took to the 118 to run the little girl down. I personally think she let up on it and he caught her that way
