Got a question for you guys running non steerable lift axles.
I'm finally get'n around to reassembling this Jeep trailer. I just realized that it has no way to adjust the axle alignment. I thought the pivot bolt was an ecentric like a trailer axle. It won't really matter in this application as a single axle trailer. I'm just gonna have to get it dead nuts before welding the hangers on so she don't dog track. IMG_20191012_193256234.jpg

Do most lift axles not have a way to change the alignment? How do you get one running straight under a truck?

HA! I was just watching Lewis Black doing a show in WI and he was talking about how cheap beer and liquor was there and everytime he was there people were drinking like it was New Years.

Should have a washer welded on both sides where the pivot bolt is. Cut the welds on washers and move acordingly.

Russ said it....once you start factoring in friction, aerodynamics and fuel flow required to achieve that number you soon realize it ain't happening regardless of what the calculator says. CAT used to preach on average for an on-highway truck it as much HP to go from 0 to 55 as it did to go from 55 to 75. So somewhere between the calculator and that CAT propaganda lies the truth. LOL

Edit to add....that was when CAT was preaching gear fast / run slow with the ACERT lineup.

See if you'd have turned around you'd have been in triple digits! I was sittin' in Perrysburg last night and was getting knocked around pretty good! Thought it was shaping up to be a replay of Circleville! IMG_20190528_010740722.jpg
