Looking for some ideas. My ch613 is having issues shutting off and starting again. It happens irregularly and at anytime, driving down the road, parked, running the pto. It seems like an electrical problem. Had it into the garge and they couldn't replicate the problem since it only happens rarely and sporadically. Now it shut off and wont start. Turns over good and about every 10th try it starts and idles for about 5 secs and shuts off, no throttle response. Any ideas would be helpful.

Search block is in the top right. I was responding to a question about Whites, White GMC, or Volvo White GMC Heavy Truck Corp. As the last emblems were before they were just Volvos.
Different brands but likely the same problem.
If you do not find mine or other posts on the subject it usually comes down to power and ground voltage drop tests. A test light is enough for what you are doing. -
.'98. So this morning checked it and it fired right up...

Is the lightning bolt on, on the dash? I had a 2000 CH with an E7 460. That lightning bolt electronic malfunction light always came on and the truck would randomly shut off and restart driving down the highway.
Mack dealer tried everything. Changed plugs on the wire harness to the ECM, etc. Nothing helped.
Several years later, long after I gave up and replaced that truck they finally found the issue and Mack issued a service bulletin. It is the big mass ground point inside the dash on the driver side A pillar. It has several ground wires going to it. Clean it and make sure you have a good ground.QUALITYTRUCK and Cat sdp Thank this. -
That is exactly what is happening. I will definitely try that.

No problem. Hopefully that is your problem. Like I said for years my dealer searched and tried stuff and it was something as stupid and simple as that.
And so many of those trucks were affected by the same issue.
