I dont know if i am posting in the correct area, but I am getting close to my renewal for insurance. I do not want to work with progressive as they are expensive as heck, Can anyone recommend a broker or an insurance company that they like? I am looking for at least an A rating.

There is not any real way to answer this question, you have to see who you have available for your area.
Any good agent that deals with trucker insurance, should have multiple companies to get you rates from.

Great West, not the cheapest but when I got hit not one person was worried about getting paid because they have the reputation and people to make #### happen.

That really is worth something. Paying a premium for insurance that leaves your butt hanging in the wind on gameday is pointless.

I got sued for an accident i wasnt even at with a POV policy, by an ambalamps chaser. Geico gave me the best lawyer in honolulu for 2 years, no expense spared. And that was a bare bones minimim coverage teenagers policy on a $500 car. Settled for $200 cash. I wish theyd get in the bigrig game. They were a joy to deal with even on a bad day.

Without trying to start a war. And knowing nothing about your history.

When you call progressive. And get transferred over to sales for commercial. The machine explains it takes in to consideration your driving record. Credit score. And I think driving time.

Some will say state residence also.

    There's probably other considerations.

I have 2 soft inquiries on my credit from progressive. For commercial quotes.

Some are complaining of pretty high premiums while others have it fairly cheap.

Just a little food for thought.

I've been trying to switch from geico to allstate for my car. It's been all over up and down according to my score which has also been going up and down and back up.

Progressive is the cheapest but since they want my son and his wife listed. Just because they live with me. They're out of the equation. I can do my motorcycle because they don't have a license. But won't do the car.

I did the progressive thing once, before it was time to renew had found cheaper insurance so cancelled them a couple of weeks before I needed to renew the policy. a couple of months later I started getting bills for another months insurance. I called and ask what that was all about and they claimed they always automatically add a month in case I forget to renew, hmmmm nope, we aren't going this route, but they insisted for several months, then finally quit sending bills or calling.

I need a driver but I have Progressive for my insurance and they make it just about in possible to find one that will meet their standards for a driver.
