    Do they use driver facing cameras?

    @Snowshoes

    They still on a sliding pay scale? Top pay for anything long is .43.5 cpm?

    Yes on the sliding scale, but I'm not sure what the low end is. I only drive on the weekends so my runs are short

    RoadCall and Rugerfan Thank this.

    Other than the breakdown and layover pay being low, Pride sure sounds a lot better than that other quaint, little reefer outfit just down the road.

    And not having new drivers share a room is outstanding. Thumbs up for Pride doing that.

    The aforementioned other quaint little reefer outfit is all about cramming students into one room until the fire marshal complains.

    Too bad their pay is as bad as the other little company, 43.5 a mile, for anything over 400 miles, wow!

    Just an update on what is going on. Been in training for 4 weeks now. A couple days ago my mentor's dispatcher offered him a new truck. So 2 days ago we traded in his 2019 Freightliner with a few miles shy of 200,000 miles on it for a 2020 Freightliner with 22 miles on it. After 4 weeks I'm at 223 hours of the 300 I need. We get plenty of miles. Here is the breakdown of my hours and miles so far...

    Week 1: 55h 24m Driving 2817mi
    Week2: 48h 02m Driving 2597mi
    Week3: 59h 41m Driving 3221mi
    Week4: 59h 57m Driving 3205mi

    I haven't gotten any home time yet because I had decided to do the whole mentor program before I go home. My mentor already had home time scheduled for the end of the month so Pride is getting me a hotel room near family for that time. Then after I'm done with the training (about November 6th), I'm unsure whether I will get a load to the edge of their service area (and thus the 5k sign on bonus) or whether they will just fly me home for the 7 day home time.

    So if you take the home time you won't get the 5k? I'm heading up there on the 4th to start my training with them too. Thank you for keeping up your experience here!

    Thank you for posting. Have always had an interest in Pride. Good information.
    Am wondering where Pride primarily runs?
