My mistake, I was using the 318 HP for that number. It's actually 1166 ft/lbs at 1500 rpm.
Max Power (P) = 333
RPM (R) = 1500
T = P / ( R / 5252 )
Torque (T) = 1166
That's the derivation of the Power equation of HP = Torque x ( RPM / 5252 ).
Is my engine power governed

So the governed hp is correct at 333
-
No such thing as jake power.
Horse power is rated as brake horse power which is the horse power created by the engine against a source that creates a force to consume power.
His engine is rated for 475, it is limited to that. The dealer can bump that up if he pays for it.
The ecm has the peak torque set at 1240 rpm which is also the sweet spot or near it. -
Is the governed horsepower of 333 the actual horsepower I'm receiving?
-
That would be right if it said Brake Horsepower. It says Brake Power and another setting for "Governed Power" rated in BHP (Brake Horsepower). The ability to slow down is absolutely able to be rated in horsepower and is in this truck's settings.
-
All of the ratings say BHP though.
What engine is this? -
-
All signs point to Volvo.
