We threaded 24 1-1/2" draw rods for the timber framers next door. There are 8 sets of 3 rods. Each set is just over 60'.

We also cut and notched some 1/4" x 8" and 1/4" x 12" knife plates. They cut a groove in the top of a joint and drop these in. The big ones get 18 1" steel pins and the small ones get 16 pins. They assemble the frame on the floor and pre drill one side of the wooden joint down to the steel plate. This puts a "punch" mark in the plate. Then they take the plate out and drill it on the drill press. When they do the final assembly and raise the frame, they'll drill the other side of the joint and drive in the pins. It's much easier than trying to drill them in a lift or off of a ladder.
