I have a Peterbilt 379 with air leaking around the brake knob area. Only does it if the yellow knob is pushed in. Haven't heard any air spewing from outside. Anyone know if it's an urgent fix? Thanks in advance.

Yes the valve is probably leaking and I would replace it ASAP. I was stranded at a truck stop once because it blew out on me. Couldn't build up enough air to drive anywhere.

And just FYI I tried JB Weld and everything I could think of to fix it and nothing worked. I just wanted to get somewhere that had the part I needed.

Thanks for the advice. I had a feeling it wasn't a good idea to keep driving it for long. Sure enough, I made it back to the field where we are harvesting and parked, then the truck wouldn't move and low air pressure light came on the dash. It will only stay at 50 psi. Thank God I made it back safely.

Rotate the knob clockwise, if the leak changes or goes away with rotation I agree replace the MV3.
However, if the leak is coming from the back of the valve or passing through the valve there is a separate issue such as brake chamber bypassing or other leak somewhere. -
do you have the airlines backwards

That would be considered a DOT item. Don't move that truck until you have found the core leak and resolved it properly.
