I'm just curious. Since gliders are out. Or going out. What's the rule on swapping an engine? Do you legally have to put OEM back? Or can you put a pre emissions engine in? Thanks
Can you swap a engine legally?

I think the rule is you must replace like for like. So if you had a tier 4 you need that or better.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
You have to replace the engine within the same emissions series, so if you have a truck with a 2010 emissions type engine, then it has to have the same 2010 type emissions type engine.
