One of the XC races I'm doing next year. Unidilla gncc. Gonna keep the bike stock so i can maybe be competitive in the stock class.

Yes during the (TF) Task Force years ( 1955-1959) GMC had Pontiac engines if it was a V8 truck.

The big V6 came along in 1960, the 305 cubic inch was the smallest. I have one setting in my shop floor, 432 cubic inch V6 GMC. At first glance you would think you were looking at a W block Chevy V8 lol, valve covers resemble the 348 / 409 V8’s.

If my memory serves the Pontiac was the only engine other than Chevrolet used, until late 50’s.... there was some medium duty trucks with factory W style Big Blocks... 348 / 409. Then of course the big 702 cubic inch V12 gasser engine in the 60’s.

Vaguely recall Gramps saying that 2 times he got to run Cooper Jarrets turnpike doubles with that big V12 when the regular driver was off. Guess it ran pretty good back then.

I have a matchbox set from the 50's of them someplace in this house.

 

They called me Wednesday afternoon. Said they just needed to deck the block and needed my approval to sleeve the lower liner bores. No idea how long that takes but I'm hoping it'll be done today. If not I gotta wait until Monday.

 

That's a def nozzle tho...

 

Never actually seen a DEF pump lol. We just dump a jug or 2 into the equipment during PDI to top the tank off. After that its on the customer to look after.

 

About the only thing left good in NY is the food. The deli's at the home two-oh are crazy good.
Today's lunch was a chili cheese dog w/onions on a homemade roll, mac salad, chips, and a Pepsi Cola.




Now the bad......It cost me $202.00 to renew my NY Enhanced CDL today---->>
