Paid by the load, never saw the numbers. The boss was happy with it though.
I do know there was at least one guy up there that lived right off the highway. He owned his truck and trailer and that's all he did the two months we were there. So I guess you can make a living at it.

I'm told that Eclipse' main client base is NE and upper midwest. It's where rates are the best and they are strongest. My broker and the others they have brought on over the past years have just sort of radiated out from there and it weakens the further you go. Deadheads in particular are what ruins it. The network just isn't filled in enough.
I wish I hadn't become so dependant on the fuel card. I could do so much better if I used them as a standard backup and always tried to find my closest load from a variety of sources. But, to keep the benefits you have to run dedicated. -
That was Frenchman Valley Coop we were running for. Had to look it up. Scoular had work too but there's a bit of a rivalry going on there.
Big John Thanks this. -
Stay away from Oakley. I won my lawsuit against them. Marshall OK was built for horse and wagons but it was built so you could turn a 4 horse team and wagon around on Main St. Haysvill KS is the longest one in the world @2717 ft. and 7 people died there in 1998 in an dust explosion.

More BS, go away. You didn't win no lawsuit and I thought ADM had the largest land elevator located in Enid, OK. Why the history on Marshall, OK? You planning on running a wagon and a team of mules? -
Seriously a lot of people would like to know. -

I understood those others to just be a way to get the cash price. I looked at and spoke to Fuelman and they had to be settled up inside 2 weeks. Was better than nothing but still a risky model. Plus, they only dealt with 50+ truck companies, so there was that too. -

I just never set up a check writing account at any truck stop I thought you would need to be approved before doing that. I know some guys that did the NATSO deal and write checks for fuel and other things at any truckstop that is a memeber of NATSO which most are. The OOIDA card from what I understand from a friend is you do get the fuel discount (no good a Flying J) but they withdraw their money out of your bank account every week or two.
