I love it......with or without embellishments.

 

Sure have!! Use to be one of my stops in the 80’s & 90’s. Stopped there while going around the coops..... or I mean looking at the foliage . Think they’re closed now, but use to be a place across the road that sold the best Jerky around. When I was with EZ I stopped there a lot when I ran over to Maryland or up towards Albany, NY. KT is a small place but always been a Mom & Pop type Truckstop....

Too bad I missed the jerky deal. It was dark when I pulled up & dark when i pulled out, so I didn't get a good look at the surrounding area. I don't know what it was about that stop, but I got the best nights sleep I got all week up there. Must be the mountain air?

There is still a pool table upstairs too.. Put it in the book already. Cool spot, definitely not many like it left out there..

Yes KT is a good place to sleep. Off the interstate a ways helps I think. And the mountain air is a plus lol.

Don’t know if you remember it, but years ago before I-68 came to be through Maryland, it was 40 / 48 across there. There was a small Truckstop on yonder side of Cumberland, it and KT where very much alike. Wanting to say it was called Shipwrecks....?
