I grew up riding. Started with an ATC 90 three wheeler when I was 6. At 15 I got my first street bike. At 16, a car pulled out in front of me and I didn't walk for nearly a year. When I could walk without hinderance whatsoever, I got another bike. Car pulled out in front of me again. This time totaled the bike, but walked away. Lucky. Have had bikes and/or four wheelers most of my life. When the CBR1000RR came out in 2004, I had the third one to hit the ground in Kentucky. Did my share of riding and track time on a 600RR also. Places like Deal's Gap, Blue Ridge Parkway, and a host of others are great. Bikes in the city are just flat frickin' dangerous. Three years ago, I lost my best friend to a car that pulled out in front of him. Tried to ride after that, but I just can't make myself enjoy it anymore. Sold my bikes and I'm done.
To any and all who ride: Please be safe. If you haven't found out the the hard way, it's really tough when you lose someone close, it's tougher still when you lose someone close to you because someone else isn't paying attention.

Did any body see this at the bottom of the snopes article? One of his friends
was killed in a similar fashion a week after his funeral.
How utterly stupid this guy's friend was.

Natural selection ladies and gentleman. We have eliminatedd most of the predators that stalked our far removed ancestors so we have to let stupidity thin the herd!
