A 20 year old misdemeanor shouldn't be an issue. TWIC card or Hazmat background check should be ok. I wouldn't worry about it.
It's so old, I could just forget it even happened...

Honesty might be a good quality, but its not always the best policy. If my wife asks me, "How do I look?" I might be wise to "adjust" the truth a bit.Last edited: Oct 19, 2019

So if I drink while off duty should I not say anything to the carrier? Asking for my hubby who likes to drink on down time, he just got done with his trainer driving at a large carrier, and is getting his assigned truck next week. Also he may go lease op in 6 months. He was told his income would double. Thanks.
homeskillet, x1Heavy and BR-549 Thank this. -
Has anyone ever said yes to that question? Or just me.

Ohh wow, the ship really hit the fan for that one.... For a couple weeks it was brutal, like I stabbed her or something.
But then things changed. I ran into her girlfriends and they just had to tell me about it. About how she could trust me to be honest even if it wasn't what she wanted to hear. She wasn't fat, it was just a funky outfit.
We were much closer after that, even though it was "the end of the world" for a time.homeskillet, x1Heavy, Chinatown and 1 other person Thank this. -

is this a joke?
I’ve never heard of a phone application.
And if it was, how could a recruiter officially document anything on a DAC report from a phone call?
If that was a fact God only knows how many scorned ex’s would be playing that game with the aid of jody or a voice change app.
so did she actually fill out an online application, then get a phone call from a recruiter and then decide to disclose said 20 year offense after not entering it initially on the app?
If so, then yeah, I’d say Werners not gonna touch her.
Just an FYI though.
If it’s been 20 years and she didn’t violate probation, then I’d suggest looking into filing for expungement depending on the state. Many states that have legalized or decriminalized it may have one time offers of expunging such misdemeanors.
Now beyond that I do not have any knowledge if said offense is officially unavailable via any searchable record or if the initial charges can still be found somehow.x1Heavy and Intothesunset Thank this. -
Swift is always hiring. Your better off suing Werner rather than working for them.
BR-549 Thanks this. -
Amen, brother. Grandma used to say, "a lie well stuck to, is almost better than the truth sometimes". See, that's the thing, used to be, you could schmooze your way into or out of something with trucking. Just too dang serious today.thelushlarry, BR-549 and x1Heavy Thank this.
