I wondered if anyone worked for them. If you read their website, with all they offer, it almost seems too good to be true...Going with the old "If something seems too good to be true, it usually is," I wanted some feedback on them.

D'oh!!!! Thank you, Skinnytrucker!!! I thought I had looked and looked thoroughly before I posted that. Thank you!!!! -
Not a problem. I remembered reading your post and when he asked about C.E. I felt obligated to post that. I knew you would eventually see it but since I have one more week to recoup from my appendix removal I have a lot of time on my hands. Today my 80 year old neighbor taught me how to make homemade strawberry jam. My wife is now calling me her houseb!#$. LOL!!!!
-
HA HA! My wife is doing the same! I got paid off from hauling mail (which sucks because the money is really good) and have been lounging around the house. My wife says to not go back to work yet because I make a good houseb!#$#.
If you look on Continental's website, it boasts and makes it all look realy good (I know they all do that, but it wasn't overly done, which makde me think "Hmm, if they didn't do an elaborate recruiting gimmick, perhaps it is because they don't NEED to!"
As for making homemade jam, that is pretty sweet (literally). Can you do it with Splenda? Sugar is bad for me... -
Sorry about your job loss 402. If you go to your grocery store and find a box of surgel it gives all different types of recipes for non sugar jams. I did use the regular sugar and it came out GREAT. Well I guess we are no longer considered "Super Truckers" since we are now trading recipes online. LOL!!!!!

Hey, jobs are tough everywhere it seems. The post office are really consolidating many of their runs. Two runs I used to do cease to exist right now! I was doing one of them just last summer and it has already gone away. Scary, I know.
Hey, nothing wrong with being a recipe-swapping "Super Trucker," considering what the truck stops charge you to eat these days! I know once I/we get back out on the road, it will be many boring days eating IN the truck! -
Your correct about the job market. This morning my employer (YRC) asked it's employees to take another pay cut. We voted yes for a 10% pay cut in Jan. and now they want an additional 5% on top of the 10%. We are a union co. so that gives us the ability to have a say thru a voting procedure if we accept it or not. Alot of guys are telling me they refuse to accept another pay cut. I don't see any co. out there paying the kinda wages we are making and I don't want this co. to close and then I will have to drive for a non-union co. My wife tells me I have a problem with authority and I tell her I have a problem with ignorance. Anyway, let me know how your strawberry jam turns out. My kids picked 12 more lbs. this morning so you know what I will be doing in the morning.

Hey Skinnytrucker,
I sent a you a private message....I don't want to get in trouble for going off subject. Be safe. -
I've never woked for them but they have an ad for drivers in the Dayton, Ohio paper 7 days a week. Either they have a ton of new freight or they aren't very good at keeping drivers.
