They charge whatever they want.
Doubt you'll find anything under $1200 these days even for a simple tow.JForce28, Texas_hwy_287 and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
Many smaller companies do not use DAC. I would challenge the Dac report saying getting stuck in some mud was not an accident. While they probably won't change it, you can still put a letter on your Dac explaining the incident. Tell any prospective employers about it up front. You'll be ok.
JForce28, Texas_hwy_287, FlaSwampRat and 2 others Thank this. -
Yes I did do it no damage was made to any company property I wasnt told I was being punished for being pulled out the mud and also it was 6 months ago and when I quit I was told by 3 companies they wouldnt hire me because of it how can they put it on there and not tell the driver anything I didnt.find out until I was looking for another job

What do y'all consider a small company?
I drove for 3 one had 25 trucks, one 35 & one had 73 . they all used dac -
You only had an incident. Even if they put it as a preventable there are companies that give a driver wiggle room. I think National Carriers will allow 3 preventables. Try to call them
-
I guess they are thinking the smaller, slightly outlaw companies that don't use DAC. I drove for 2 companies that had 10 trucks each and neither used DAC.Tx Countryboy Thanks this.
