Back of the cab lights...

Ok... So here is my situation. I wanted to install some red lights on the back of the cab of my 2020 FL Cascadia. I tried to wire them into the parking lights so that, obviously they would come on with the parking lights... No go. The SAM chassis won't allow it.

So someone suggested connecting them to a seperate switch... But for some strange reason FL chose to not install the opt switches on the dash on my truck... My 16 Cascadia had them. My boss doesn't want me drilling holes in the dash for new switches. It is a company truck.

So then someone suggested tying them into the tail light/clearance light circuit for the trailer because that circuit was much more forgiving in the sam chassis... Sounds good to me.

I am trying to figure out where to tie them in where it will be the least invasive (it is a company truck) and as easy as possible.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

 

I don't suppose that reprogram is something that I could do? I am sure it is a 2 minute job that the dealership charges $1000 for.

 

Yeah... That was my first attempt but the sam chassis on the new FL Cascadia won't allow those utility lights to be on while the truck is moving forward above about 10 mph.
