Ok thanks Ray. I do like talking to current drivers though, so if anybody would like to help me out with insights to my questions, it would be much appreciated. If not I understand.

Talked to him a few months back. Didn’t like how they’re advertised .60cpm is actually something like .48cpm and the other .12 is from stuff like fuel bonus, safety bonus etc. just don’t understand why these big carriers can’t be up front in their advertising, they all do it.

    BlueThunderr and Knucklehead Thank this.

Yes, once proven, 12k doable per month, but every time you request time off, it will make your active days leading up to your time off, not nearly as productive. Reason, because they have to find a way to route you back home, taking you off the hot routes. Thus, if I'm going to take time off, it's going to be worth it, week or more, not some short 1-3 day. I've only taken 1 week off, since the beginning of May.

That's why I said semantics. The bonuses are extremely easy to hit. Guaranteed? No, but pretty attainable. The other one is hazmat and maybe being a trainer? Most companies play word games to lure people in or at least get you to inquire. That is why you need to talk to the recruiters and ask real questions and get specifics or some official "brochure" that lays it all out. Pretty standard for a lot of companies, in a lot of industries.

Yeah that makes sense. And yeah it also makes sense I would have to prove myself again, one of the drawbacks of switching companies I guess (I'm trusted now, it's nice).

So what about working 5 weeks on running hard, then 2 weeks off. This would be my ideal schedule year round. Can anybody who works for the company say if they would be ok with this?

You guys said there's no official hometime policy, so maybe it would be?

That I don’t know about. Yes there is no “official” time off policy except you must give them 10 days notice when you want off. You would have to ask.

    GhentSaintPeters Thanks this.
