I just looked up my ticket and it says a judge was never assigned to my case. Because I never had to actually go to court I guess. Any idea who I would need to talk to?

Start with the court clerk and ask for the judges name to write a letter. Explain the situation and see if they have any suggestions. You might need to hire an attorney, but I would try this first.

Its not the companies that don t want to hire you, but its more or less whether that company s insurance company. Most companies consider that reckless driving, and most insurance companies won t insure a driver with reckless driving citation. Insurance companies are cracking down just as bad as FMCSA.

They are some companies that will fire you for 10 over

Depends. Do you already have your CDL learners permit, or just a regular old drivers license?

A lawyer would be best. They'll take care of it. Or talk to the court clerk yourself.

Google "CDL serious violations" and "CDL disqualification". Also, 15+ over = reckless driving in DOT's eyes.

Take the course to reduce the ticket. If you have to postpone getting your CDL. After you get the CDL you cannot reduce tickets through taking a safety class. If you have to collect cans to pay for the safety class do it. SLOW the eff down.

TVC has helped Me out in the past. They have fees that go up, accordingly, even for a case like yours, they may be a good option. Main thing a Lawyer can tell you what’s possible in Ohio, at this point. I would imagine, the sooner the better. Meanwhile, don’t give up on school, someone will hire you, may have to settle, for a ragtag outfit with crap pay for a while. Ins usually 3 yrs. State ? maybe points only 2 yrs. Commercial License, record avail to Employers, I believe 7 yrs.
