I am here, I have been responding also, yes it is a 'sticky wickit'. I am still '2nd guessing' myself on the situation. Part of the issue also is this customer that wants the personal info, also does just as much business with my employer's competition.

I’d just laugh at them and walk off into the sunset.

Believe me, I'm thinking about it!
On top of everything else at the yard; all trucks now have driver facing camera's,
the last manual truck is gone, now all auto-shifts,
    changed out Qualcomm for Samsara,
(sigh) o well, thank goodness I have only 4 years till I can consider early retirement.

Freeze your credit. The company can see what they need and your credit is not at risk. It is free, and there is nothing that is equivalent as a Credit Freeze. A Credit Lock is NOT the same and DOES NOT protect you anymore than a "no trespassing" sign is the same as a deadbolt lock.
