I would think since you have proof you started the process, Walmart wouldn't do anything to you considering you have no control over how fast or slow they are at processing it.

From what I was told, you actually get 120 days total to get your HM. After 90 days you'll be removed from the road, then after an additional 30 days you'll be terminated. I just beat the deadline myself and got my HM 4 days before my 90th day.

Then Walmart is run by morons..if there's an issues with the office that does it processing it and they fire a driver for it... that proves Walmart isn't worth working for..

WM tells you from day 1 that you have 120 days to get your HM. How does terminating a driver who fails to meet a company policy make WM morons? Btw, there are quite a few companies that require a HM endorsement, and who will hire you on the condition you get that endorsement before a required post-hire date.

I simply stated that if there is an issue with the agency doing the background checks where for whatever reason they're having delays, how can that be the driver's fault and walmart kick them to the curb...the drivers have absolutely no control over what any issues arise after they have begun the process..

I'll state it again, WM gives you 120 days to get your HM. They also repeatedly advise new drivers during the on-boarding event to begin the process of getting your HM very soon after returning from Bentonville. If a new driver follows that guidance, then they'll have their HM endorsement long before the deadline. It doesn't take the TSA and state DMV offices 120 days to process a HM application. IF IT DID HOWEVER, I have no doubt WM would allow extra time to get it done.

You're trying to lay blame on WM for drivers being terminated for not getting their HM, when I'm sure that it's the drivers fault in 99.9999% of the cases.

    truckdriver31 and UpstateFreight Thank this.
