Also, I’m 270 pounds so I could stand to lose 50+ pounds. What better way than to lose weight and make money

I don't want to be rude but start losing weight now. Trying to move a lot when you are carrying around an extra hundred pounds of weight will make you miserable.

Well the good news is you would have to be actively trying to not make money for you to make less than $40k.

The bad news is winter absolutely sucks. You'll be sweating and freezing cold at the same time, pushing hundreds of pounds of food through/over/around snow, and you'll have to drive your truck into places where you know you'll also have to dig yourself out before you can leave.

Ive had an interview with Sysco and Gordon this past week, in NY as well. Im not in Syracuse, but given how large and busy sysco is, you will far out earn your salary. Nearly double from what I was told. But you will work many hours every week. Lots of OT. Leaning towards GFS for that reason. Money is great, but id rather have a better work/life balance, but all food service companies will work you alot.

Not sure we have Gordon here in Central NY. I’ll have to check. I just want to make money!

And good luck. I hope you get the job? How much experience do they want? I’m still in school so I’m hoping they take new drivers. Most of the food service ads, including Maine’s, don’t say you need any experience so I’m hoping that holds true.

I was offered both jobs. Just have to decide but leaning towards GFS because it sounds like I’ll have a little bit better of a work/life balance lol and I have almost two years of experience so I didn’t ask them what they require, but their websites say you don’t need experience so you should be able to apply. GFS job app even says you must obtain cdl within 90 days of hire if I remember correctly

Interesting. I’ll be applying to them all. Trying to lose more weight by then so they don’t turn me down for being fat lmao
