I have recieved a ticket for being over weight on my tandems after a CAT scale. I loaded in Marshalltown IA, scaled out there drove to Mira Loma CA, got called in at the Utah/AZ Scale SB 15 St.Goerge. was ticketed for over on the tandems, slid them back and I was on my way, sent the Scale Ticket from Marshalltown and a copy of the Utah ticket and fine to CAT, they paid it no questions ask, since I had a CAT Scale showing me legal. CAT never questioned it, they just sent me a check. I always use CAT Scales.

Your 5th wheel slid it to the middle of your drives and leave it alone, the tandems if your to heavy slid them toward the weight, 500 per hole average.

That could be a legal scale ticket, if he's pulling a spread. He'll have 40k on the rears in that case.
I'd try to get more weight on the drives if possible for a better pull but that's would be all. -
The box reads, “ Gross weight certified” and “ ALL weights guaranteed by CAT”. I agree, put the fifth wheel in the middle, then adjust it up or back one or two positions if needed, to find the best position that works with most loads.Hopefully won’t have to mess with it much in the future.

Yes the GROSS weight is the only certified weight. Bed buggers get paid by weight and mile. Tradeshows charge by the weight. Govt loads I haul pay by the weight. The certified number is the number those loads pay off.
Cat scale guarantees the axle weight and the gross weight is correct.
