Someone is always looking to strike...search the last year here on the forum, you'll find several dozens. Go back to 2018 an probably a couple hundred.

Also...I wouldn't hold my breath for one. Be easier to get Jesus(The son of god, not the fella from South America) to hit a strip club an do tequila shots then it would be to get enough folks for it to matter.

strike, yes we need a strike. will it ever happen? doubtful.......to many people running for peanut wages company drivers running to pay child support , owner op running to pay fuel. cant live paycheck to paycheck and strike... id imagine nobody would give 2 ####s about a strike if we were making what this job should be worth , which is in the 6 figure range...if we were all making more money, id imagine elogs wouldnt be a big deal . if there is a strike about anything it should be about wages. and why is a truck driver making the same wage in 2019 as a truck driver in 1989? that is the real crime here. elogs are just a byproduct of technology and regulation.

Anything is possible , especially in America land of the free home of the brave. I would never spend 1 minute on strike. Striking is for losers. Don't like your job ? Go find something you can find success in or talk to your employer about finding a way you can both be happy don't like it $ quit leave go do something else.

The only problem is that there are two distinct types of truck driver. Those who want to be paid adequately for the work they do, and those who are only concerned about working, and not getting paid properly for their time.

Camp A would want higher pay and stricter hours. Camp B would only want to be able to work 90 hours per week, pay be ######.

Those sides could never come to a consensus. It's impossible.

There are companies out here paying close to six figures a year. The problem is, with that pay comes responsibility, such as wearing a uniform, driving a governed truck, dealing with a dash cam (inward and outward in a lot of cases) and things of that nature. Most drivers walk around in flip flops, shorts, saggy pants and wife beater shirts, and yet, want to be paid six figures per year!! If you run your own truck, then you can make six figures, but most of that money will go into maintaining the truck

I once worked with a guy, and then by some strange coincidence I happened to run into him during orientation at my new job during the great recession.

He was a larger man, so he always wore shorts when he was driving. No matter what the weather was like outside.

The new company we were in orientation for demanded that he wear jeans to work for his safety.

    He quit.

When you can't even wear pants, let alone a uniform, I don't particularly like your chances in this industry.

Quit cause he had to wear pants? lol

I mean if you were ZZ Top with the long beard an all...I could see quitting over facial hair. But being made to wear pants? Good lord, with people like that in the world, I don't know how I'm not an alcoholic..

When I said he was a larger man, I was probably being generous.
