From your experience would you recommend reefer or van? I applied today. I've read horror stories about the long wait time. Thanks!

My whole process took like 3 days. I personally wouldn't do reefer. Always operated on appointments and the grocery warehouses can take forever. I enjoy Dryvan because we have tons of drop and hooks and very few places require us to ha e an appointment

Only drop yard in Florida is Jacksonville. I live in Orlando and park my truck where all the other Roehl Orlando drivers do at a truck stop near Mt Dora.

Does Roehl do many morning and evening appointments for shipments? I'm going through the process and would like to drive at nights because I'd feel safer with less traffic, I'm a night owl, and I could set cruise to 60mph and not be a nuisance to traffic jams and save fuel mileage.

Depends on the division. I generally start my day at 1 or 2 AM. But we do have appointments that need to be delivered at 10 AM like any other trucking company. If your flatbed than more than likely no because flatbed generally delivers during the week at job sites. I've had a few night time appointments but for the most part I deliver early in the morning.

shut down before 1400 when you come back out on the road and they’ll have to dispatch you on a night schedule. only backfires half the time.

They are pretty good about letting you run the hours you want. Just stay consistent. In the 1.5 years u stayed there I had 3 nighttime deliveries. But they normally asked first. I just turned my truck in yesterday. They kept me busy and i fulfilled my contract in 9 months.
