Welp stopped at a truck stop and checked injector plugs. Unplugged cyl 1 and she started looping worse. Unplugged cyl 2 and no change so I've either lost cyl 2 injector or a related part or its lost compression there. I'll check blow by in a little bit. Theres no more smoke than normal so that makes me feel like it's not firing the injector instead of firing it and not burning the fuel like I'd expect with a loss of compression.

 

No blow by to speak of.

 

You’re on the right track. It sucks but at least those injectors are easy to change. Even easier on yours cuz no jakes if I remember right. 7/16 socket for the valve cover, 9/16 12 point for the rocker shaft, and a 3/8 12 point for the injector hold down. Unplug and then use a heel bar to pop the injector out.

 

Correct no jakes. Safe to limp home or?
