He doesn't. Many many of us never have. He's just interviewing not the greatest at the moment or hitting a string of bad luck. He will get it, it sounds like he's persistent and wants it.

 

Just find the place tomorrow morning at 7 AM.
Go in like you are confident, not kocky - keep a little humble,
and ask if this is the correct office where you hire.
Physically show them your endorsements.
Let them know you are ready to start today,
but will wait until tomorrow if that is what you want.
Don't be pushy but lean into this - you can make it happen!

 

You'll get there man, trust me. Just don't be like me and have like 4 jobs in under a year trying to find something that fits you lol, just stick it out with whatever you decide for a year and then move to greener pastures. I have all endorsements, no accidents on my record and 1 year and 9 months of experience, but some companies still won't touch me because of my job history.

 

Yea my location is too far from him in NJ, but he can check their website and see if theyre hiring in his area.

Yea in my area they're offering a $20k sign on bonus which is insane and I see them driving around in newer Peterbilts. Just interesting to me since they have such a horrible reputation, but apparently lots of money lol

 

I was just in Elizabeth today. With the amount of truck traffic there you should be able to find something. Try some of the outfits that are hauling containers.

Personally you couldn't pay me enough to work that area every day but if it floats your boat who am I to judge.

 

The position I linked is for their driver training program, I guarantee you do not need experience to apply for it. In fact if you had experience and applied for it, they would probably call you and tell you to apply for the full driver position. Also, FedEx is self-insured, so no clue what you’re talking about there. Almost sounds like you applied to a FedEx Ground contractor.

Pay attention to the details like that in these job postings, they do matter. Same with US Foods, they’ll take you with no experience if the position is for a delivery driver trainee. If the trainee part isn’t there, it’s unlikely (but not impossible) that they’ll consider you.
