Just watched a guy driving a utility type pickup pulling a mobile work office/storage trailer pull out from a pilot. He was honking at the car in front that was being cautious of the trucks coming off the highway. He finally intimidated the car to pull out, then hammered down himself.

I was impressed by the acceleration, and he probably felt really manly with his diesel roaring. He will feel a whole less manly when he tries to set up the leveling jacks and discover that one of them was ripped off as he powered out the driveway.

Keep your chin up man — thinking about you and say a few words to the man upstairs on your behalf

So for a backhaul this week I got sent to the nightmare shipper... A drop amd hook that is NEVER a drop & hook. The load is NEVER ready... They have 3 of our trailers and none of the drivers that I have talked to about this place has ever gotten a load out of there that was ready. WHY ARE WE LEAVING 3 TRAILERS THERE IF THEY CANT EVEN GET 1 LOADED?????

So any way, I get there near the end of the day. One of our trailers is on a dock... I think awesome!... Wrong... Not only is the load not ready... Its NOT EVEN SCHEDULED TO BE SHIPPED!!!!

So here I sit for the night until my dispatcher gets to workbin the a.m. to sort this crap out...

    I HATE, HATE, HATE CHICAGO!!!!!!!

Ya. I never drove the 90 through the Snoqualmie Pass when it was bad. All I had was a car. Heard it would get bad. There had to be a way through. Just not in a car during those times. The East is a totally different place than the West in Washington. Interstate 82 was an up and down climb/descent as well but beautiful. Coming from the flat lands of Illinois, I adapted remarkably well. I traveled the I 90 so many times in all seasons I fell in love with it. I am sure I will take heat for saying that. Can you fall in love with traveling a certain route?

America is a beautiful country for sure. I hope you find the place to call home.
