Sitting here listening to the farmers running up and down the road.....

Only tractor we had was a B deere....a one row Allen Bradley picker....and a borrowed barge box.

My job was to ride in the barge box and kick the corn to the back. Didn't have anything with hydraulics so had to shovel off the corn in a round crib we made out of the old picket snow fence set up in the front yard.

It was in the yard cause that was the only drive we had to bring in the sheller....Guy had one mounted on a truck and the neighbors that owned the cob factory would bring a truck in to haul them off. Another family friend would bring in a gravity wagon to catch the shelling. That was always a big day and fascinating to me.

All them corn cobs hitting me in the head probably didn't do me any good.....

 

I'm right there with you. That was my game of choice too.

 

Killin off the last of the fried chicken tenders and mashed taters with gravy leftovers.

I did that alot in the 90s as well.

Oh yeah, played those too. I'm old enough to remember arcades. They just werent around very long. By the time I could drive they no longer existed.

 

Camped out for the night in Weiner, AR loading rice in the AM going back up..

Not sure. This truck is a glider so those axles come ftom another truck, not sure what it had.......

 

Them burs are awesome for whittling away at something. But the metal shards are nasty, nasty, nasty! I got a trip to the eye doctor and introduced to his eye drill once. Not fun!

 

Load was bigger than expected. Turned out 105" wide. Broker wasn't happy but the shipper even put dimensions on the paperwork stating it, so nuts to them! Easy money for me (aside from the 1.5 hour tarp job and Spider-Man-ing it around on top)!


Made Chamberlain, SK because of SK permit route. @beastr123 I'm not coming through Moose Jaw, but I'll definitely let you know the next time I am so I can pick that XM equipment up.
