I have two houses on natural gas with backup FO furnaces in case the gas would go out. They were both installed and filled in the early 80's. Never lost our gas, and the fuel tanks never leaked. Not sure the fuel would be much good at this point, it was pretty nasty 10 years ago when I drained a few gallons out.
That's a goofy requirement from the insurance company IMO. I'd be surprised if they even allowed you to have a coal or wood stove anywhere near the house. -
Seems it would have been a lot cheaper to buy an older Wilson or Tempte.

Don't mind if I have a glass or two myself.

My brother and uncle along with a lot of people I work with have wood boilers. If you have wood it’s a viable option I guess. I’m on propane, seems like all the get done is cut wood. I’d rather pay for the gas and do other things than I would split wood.

I agree...I got too much other stuff going on to be cutting and splitting wood. We use those infrared heaters...not sure I spelled that right

I only remember them on A/C fittings. If you are that deep get it all done. Never want to go there twice.

Spent most of my adult life cutting and splitting fire wood for the winter — must be getting lazy cause I am highly impressed with this little unit — probably have one in my next shed
