    I am a disabled veteran who is thinking about starting trucking. I am incontinent from an injury, so diapers are necessary. Otherwise I have a normal healthy body and think driving and listening to audio books could be fun. I don't NEED the money, I am just getting bored in life and want to contribute more.

    This isn't a joke, I'm just curious if any long distance truck drivers have thought about or actually use diapers? How well can you do your job and is truck driving compatible with wearing diapers? Also, I am not talking about cheap Depends, but some of the higher end diapers. I wear Confidry 24/7, and they can last 8-12 hours between changes. They have PH and odor control so I never get rashes, and never smell. I'm guessing one never drives more than 8 hours at a time?

    Hopefully only serious answers. I can say that in over a decade of wearing diapers post military, I have been discreet enough that nobody has ever noticed or cared. So I guess my main questions are, is it compatible, and has anyone else done it, and what are your experiences? Thanks.

    You can't drive more then 8 hours at time and 11 hours total for the day. I don't know about all the other stuff. I guess change them every day like regular underwear. Lots of driver have baby wipes or Dude Wipes

    I cannot imagine disposing of a diaper. On top of the pee bottles and other assorted human waste you are fixing to find out there in this industry.

    I suppose you can roll a week and never stop for nothing. But ugh. There are better ways to spend your time. Trust me.

    Ive a box in the closet from the previous surgery, just in case they botched that joint replacement and I needed it. I hope to pass on before I would have to deal with something like that in this life.

    I wouldn't worry about it or let it stop you by any means.

    I ran with a colostomy bag for a little over a year, and it was no more a nuisance in the truck than it was out of the truck. No one was the wiser.

    It is actually quite easy. Roll it up and put it in a garbage can. Or, if you need to be more discreet, put it in your backpack for later disposal. Parents and incontinent people do it all the time easy.

    If you can pass a DOT physical then go for it.

    No good reason to let 'em stop you if driving a large car is what you want to do next in life IMO. I'd definitely recommend having a running garbage bag and disposing of them alongside the rest of your trash, though. People can be real ######## at times.

    To answer your other question... I've never really considered it. I drive 5 hours, take my 30, drive 5 more, and have a good night's sleep, with any other necessary pit stops interspersed as needed. The only problem I can see is figuring out how to stay supplied, but I'm sure you could figure that one put pretty easily. There's plenty of places across the country where you can drop a trailer and bobtail to the store

    My guess is it’s a lot more common than any of Us knows. There’s a lot of Old Guys, and Gals in pretty bad physical shape, still driving. There’s a lot of conditions that cause incontinance. It shouldn’t stop you. Go for it, why not? Ain’t nobody’s business but your own. No different than any health problem,

    And as many have said... I dont see any reason that you couldn't drive truck. If you can pass a DOT physical then by all means five a go.
