@Banker Thank you very much for taking the time to reply, I appreciate your very thorough response, clarification and suggestions!

It is interesting to hear you recommend UPS... I feel from what you've said in another thread and this one, that the times have changed for car hauling (certainly not the golden years) i.e. an individual could possibly make bank (no pun intended) in today's world of car hauling but chances are slim; and not like it was throughout the 80's, 90's and even early 00's.

I like the niche appeal of car hauling, more specifically: super cars! (exotics) Could you possibly speak on that market? (I assume it is extremely competitive).

Also, and very important: I do not wish to stay in this area (I really don't think an individual's career path should be dictated by locale...) I've no desire to stay here long term (weather etc...). What I'm trying to say, is that if I can get a job in another state, it would be an easy decision and transition (so don't let my local lock you down in-terms of possible suggestions).

With that said, I will certainly research UPS as you've proposed.

By the way, is that your rig in your AVI? If so, it looks phenomenal friend! (Peterbilt from what I can tell)

You really have to want to be a carhauler to make it a great job. The heyday of carhauling has most certainly not passed, I am making more money than I have in my lifetime and there is more on the table every week that I pass up because I don’t want to work more hours than I do now. I like being home almost every night and have no desire to run the road. From what I have been told the exotic car hauling is being done by well seasoned vets who don’t mind being gone for weeks at a time. I really doubt they make more than new car haulers who are home often. Maybe the carrier they drive for is but I really doubt the driver is.
That is my rig that I had custom built 4 years ago and it will probably be the last rig I make money with. I may own another rig to travel in one day, but for now this is my cash cow and I like it.

Go to the carhaulers forum and look at the post your carhaul loads section and you can see some of my fellow carhaulers and my handiwork. We are proud of our loads and that is one reason most of us do this job. Because not everyone can or will.

    Thank you very much friend!

Good to hear! I've got the will, motivation and time to dedicate- that's easy for me but do you think this is type of opportunity (getting those hours and with a reputable company) is available for people with no experience, such as myself?

I will certainly do that, sir! Cheers friend
