To my knowledge there was no pre installed fuel control quality valve with the new fuel pump. My mechanic would have let me know, apart from that, the dealership would and should have let me know. When people try and fix this issue with the rough idle, it is usually one or the other. In my case, it was definitely the fuel pump, but also could have been the valve. In any matter, both are new parts now, and my truck is running again.

The code says its in itself, fuel delivery pressure. The other one also said in itself, worded with injector something I dont remember, but they are both mechanical issues. The injector code was coming up because it obviously was not receiving enough fuel pressure, for fault of the fuel pump. We can justify that it was a mechanical issue because it had a rough idle, plus even with the new fuel control quality valve installed at first, the engine was jerking and struggling when coming down on the rpms. I drove it for 100 miles and the issues did not clear up. Installed a new fuel pump and now the issues are gone.

What exactly was your truck doing. I could start mine and have a really rough surge. Replaced quantity fuel valve and it helped but still had a rough idle surging.

So not for sure if it was the fuel valve or fuel pump??
