I never gave a remote start a second thought, BUT, I have thought MANY times about a "bunk" starter, I rarely idle the truck, and actually sleep very good even down into the low 30's, BUT, getting up naked to jump in that leather seat balls first will wake you RIGHT UP!!!

Some of the new kw's have a start -stop timer you don't even need to be in truck for it to work.

As far as I know any truck with an electronic engine already has the capabilities of it, it just depends on how you have it programmed in the ecm. I know my international will hill itself when low on water or oil, and the same on water temps and oil pressure. The one time I had a shop work on it they changed it so that it would not shut down, and the reason they gave me was I wouldn't want it shutting down in traffic. lol I made them change it back, it has an over ride button a guy can use in emergencies.
