    Thats good to hear, I hope that remains that way when actual bad weather comes. Do they usually have morning loads and unloads for you so you can find a parking spot? I have been with companies that screw you and you have to find parking at 2 am, that never happens.

    Also, i looked but didnt see it mentioned, do they have cameras on the trucks, specifically nose picker cameras?

    No cameras, none whatsoever. Loads pick up whenever. Sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the evening. So far, many if the loads I've hauled for them, parking hasn't been an issue. With reefer loads, it may get tricky. They will plan the loads very well, and they will tell you if a customer has overnight parking. Sometimes it'll take planning on your part to find parking. These guys ain't gonna hold your hand once you get your load assignment. If you called recruiting, they give it to you straight up. So far, everything that's been said to me by the recruiters has been accurate. No frills, just loads and money

    So are you hauling reefer and van, just whatever?

    I haul both, whichever is assigned to the load. Sometimes I will haul a dry load in a reefer trailer. The last 3 loads, counting my current load, I've had a dry van trailer. I picked a loaded trailer in Bridgeton, MO going to Virginia for Monday morning. This will work out so I will be able to reset my 70

    Good deal, any new info to share about this company for the week? Definitely think I will be putting in an app in the next week or so. And how many trucks with a fridge as opposed to not having one? Any idea, that fridge saves a ton of money.

    We are all slowly converting to ELD, only about half the fleet is now. I still have an AOBRD, maybe for about 2 more weeks. This was about a 2500 mile week for me. Last week was kind of pedestrian since I went home. I'll probably do a month out.....its worth noting, that they require a minimum 2 weeks out, then home 2 days. I choose to do a month at a time. That works for me. After 3 days, they will be ready for you to get back out there. They will work with you, on everything. It's so laid back here. We work with a team of dispatchers, unlike most companies who stick you with one. You'd get a load from someone different almost everyday. The two main ones I've worked with are cool as hell. I didn't even know until this week, but the two dispatchers are former drivers. I think that's key for all of the load planning. Many companies have people dispatching or working in safety that has no idea how any of this works. For me, it makes my job so much better

    I've been here going on three years. Been making 60,000 or little more per year. One thing to clarify is they do not pay you for everything you do. They usually don't pay breakdown pay till after you have sat overnight and even then dispatch has to get it approved by operations. You get paid by the mile and most of the time you can get paid detention after 2 hrs if you were on time for a set appt. They seem pretty good about passing along raises yearly and also when the freight rates go up. Medical insurance is a little expensive along with a high deductible of 5 grand for the year. Newest trucks are coming in with colision avoidance systems and outward facing cameras. I was told that inverters would only be allowed if y a require a cpap. That's in the new trucks. They use to allow them in the 670 volvos all the time. So definitely ask for clarification from the recruiter about the power inverter thing. Overall they have been really good to me. My average is 2700 to 2800 miles a week for all the time I've been here. And i have never had a hometime request turned down for any reason.

    Really appreciate the info, i sit here and wonder why anyone does OTR, 60k for being away from home all the time is peanuts. Drivers really need to fight for better wages for the amount of time they sacrifice for a load of coke or some chocolate bars.

    Well the problem I think is that too many palms have to be greased. Your government, insurance companies, fuel companies, all want a large chunk of change. The reality is that it isn't many local jobs that pay better. Those are truly far and few between. What were you doing before?
