The majority of drivers at Highlight are lease operators. They run mainly Cali. They cut the rates and make it up on the mileage.
Is work slow for you?

Agreed.
These are the type of companies (mainly lease operators) which Canada revenue is beginning to target for their "driver inc" style of tax evasion.BigHossVolvo Thanks this. -

what would you say is the best pay wise? maybe whats the best work wise? etc id appreciate the input

Bison pays a driver $0.38 per mile, so I'm told. Easy to make money when you're not paying your drivers a decent wage.

I saw one of the agreed upon rates for a trip from Concord ON to Fort Edward NY. HL was paid $1700 CAD. I get paid about $250 from that trip. Another $450 for fuel and 1 day expenses? HL profit $1k from one driver for 1 trip! There is definitely money out there to be made...
BigHossVolvo and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
WTF!? Really?
Leave that company. You're working for less than minimum wage.
Go over to precision in woodbridge. (top of 427).
They run the westcoast and pay every week. They do LTL. I heard they pay 50 cpm. -
After wasting the last year dealing with different medical issues, I'm finally back in the game. Truck owned outright, and ready to roll with a fresh CVI. Am out west. In the last 2 weeks have talked to over 300 companies. Some couldn't speak English so that didn't go anywhere. But the remaining ones all said they had no business and that nothing is coming in from China. No Christmas rush at all. It's a big mystery out here, with most thinking it has something to do with that idiot Trudeau pissing off the Chinese. Anyhow, nobody is hiring and nobody has any loads at all. They're trying to keep their own trucks rolling. Too bad I've had too many injuries over the years, and can't do deck work anymore, because there's still some b train lumber gigs out here. The job listings have dried up. Been like this for quite a while. But, over on the government job boards there's ads all over the place, every day, looking for company drivers. But they are all the immigrant companies looking to scam. Anyhow, the industry has tanked out here. There is nothing.
