I wonder if you could put a small oscillating fan down there. Each time it turns, it bumps the accelerator enough to cause a small fluctuation in rpm.. Maybe?? :dontknow:

Lol it could work, i spent about 1 hour trying to figure it out last winter in minnesota. I got it going for about 45 minutes . I put a gallon jug on the pedal and wedged it under the dash and got the water in the jug surging and it would move the accelorator pedal up and down every so slightly , we are talking 10 to 15 rpms at most, but it was enough to trick the computer. Everytime the pedal would move down and up it would continue contribute to the surge in the bottle and would keep it going. It lasted about 45 minutes until the momentum ran out and i woke up cold as all hell 5 minutes later... all i wanted to do was high idle because it was -30 with the windchill around -70.. Couldnt keep amy engine heat at normal idle so the heater didnt work ....well it was a fun science experiment at least.

Gave that a try and the engine still cut off, even in 1st gear and with cruise on. Only thing that seems to stop it is a change in RPMs.

Get an electric drill. Cut out an oblong circle of plywood and mount it in the chuck of the drill. zip tie the trigger down so the oblong circle of wood rotates at a slow speed, any speed is OK. As the circle rotates it press and releases the gas pedal.
Warning, this might accidentally cause your truck to idle for hours and hours.

If you have any sort of satellite/cellphone computer like Qualcomm in the truck that system is monitoring and reporting engine idling time.

Trucks have various systems and settings. Something that works for one truck may not work in another fleet of trucks. My last Volvo was setup up that even if you were in stop and go traffic, it would shut down after 3 minutes of idling. All of the ideas to make it stop did not work. I just spent my breaks goosing the throttle every 2:55.

I never understood the idea of DEF in boxes sold at truck stops. I fill my DEF every other time I get fuel for the truck. What am I missing?

That's why talking to drivers at a trucking company BEFORE you work for them is the most important step in finding a good place to work. No company web page or recruiter is going to tell you the important stuff.

If you do figure out how to make the truck idle the trucking company will probably punish you anyway.

electric drill turning an off-center plywood cam will vary the throttle. Electric drills have the torque, a fan would just stop turning if it feels any obstruction.
