Good Night From II

I'm just north of Denver at the Love's.
Still bringing back that empty Target trailer to Pueblo but was delayed by the weather in Montana and Wyoming.
This morning the trailer brakes froze up. I'm not used to the extreme cold weather yet and I left them set. That set me back by about an hour.

I put my return off until tomorrow morning. I didn't want to deal with afternoon traffic in Denver all the way to Colorado Springs, and then with no parking in Pueblo.

And there is another winter storm coming in tomorrow morning.
I should be able to get out of here before the bad snow starts.

And then I have a scrap paper load from Target headed to Oklahoma. South is good these days.

I'm glad it isn't another dedicated Target load. I hate those things.
That last delivery in Billings, the docks were very tight. Only about 4 inches next to the adjacent trailer. The guy told me the last driver that delivered took 3 hours to get it in there.

 

Kingman AZ.

Been in pingpong mode. Grabbed scrap friday in vegas, ran to Queen Creek, grabbed rebar to vegas. Delivered that this morning, grabbed scrap to Queen creek. Grabbing Rebar to vegas again after i deliver.

Had some delay on CMCs part deciding what they wanted us to do today. So we found out there was scrap and got it anyway.

 

The weather and roads were already bad when I woke up this morning at 0430, so I sat tight.
At around noon I noticed the roads getting a bit better so I headed for Pueblo.
I had a pretty good window of not-so-bad weather and I was nearly here when things started to get bad again.

So I returned the Target mt and picked up my next load, and now I'm sitting in the spare lot next to Target.
I'll have to be out of here at 0600 to make my delivery tomorrow on time in OK, but I doubt that will happen. Things are messy out there, and I won't leave before sunrise. I need to see past headlights in this stuff, and the storm warning goes until noon.

 

Jurupa terminal.
Picking up in pomona ca that goes to Bellevue wa for Saturday 0600 delivery.
Have to go to Sumner terminal to grab a daycab in able to make the delivery.
Winds are really howling today. Have to go 15 miles empty. Windss should be pushing me so shouldn't be that bad till I get on nb5. But load is 42000 lbs

 

It rained on me in Alabama on the way to Florida …

Strong winds when I left the terminal in jurupa this morning but got less closer to pomona

 

Phoenix. Delivered more rebar in vegas, brought back more scrap.

Getting a load to El Paso tomorrow. Im hoping its only 40footers. Cause Texas is tight on thier Overhang laws, and I don't have annual permits there. Would have to get a trip permit if 60footers.

Got a message today saying to tcall the load here. Called dl to confirm and h e said they were overbooked.
So drove straight here.
Traffic was terrible on nb205 due to i5 being closed due to a crash involving a tanker that spilled some fuel
All lanes nb5 were closed and o my one lane open on sb5.
Took.me 1.5 hrs to get here

 

You can always saw the excess off and weld it back on at the final lol
