2007 freightliner century 10 speed eaton manual trans
The past 2 weeks I've noticed a few second lag when flipping the high range switch.. I can hear the air and it sounds sluggish and not normal. Today it wouldn't go into High Gear until 10 minutes after flipping the switch. I have to move the shifter side to side and it will go in high gear but it has the same air lag delay. Its not instant like it used to be.
I drained the air tanks which were full of water a few days ago.

sounds like something in the back of trans is bad

Transmission model number?
spsauerland Thanks this. -
I think its an air issue.. The Hi Low shifter won't do anything until I have at least 100 pounds of air. I used to move it with much less than that. Once I hear the "air click" everything shifts fine.
Where do i get the transmission model #? -
There should be a filter in the air regulator. Typically its on the back of the transmission, kinda beside the output yoke. When it clogs up, you get a lazy low-high shift.

Is there a slave valve ?
