Yours must be different then mine, the screws I took out to slide the tray were all easy to get to.
3 along the front at the bottom and one on the bottom mid way back, you saw the head by looking at the bottom of the overhead compartment (look up from the dashboard of the truck, not at the bottom of the tray from inside the hole for the 4th one). -
There should be power studs mounted to the tray by the back left corner of the black box. Thumb screw looking.

Uh...before I close it up...how do I know if it works.

Don’t forget to trim your antennas. Use the SWR ratio feature. Go to ch 40 switch to calibrate. Hold the mic button and dial it to the line. Then hit SWR and note the number. Do the same for ch 1. If 40 is higher than one trim down the antenna until they are about equal.

I wasn't around when you were doing this.
Obviously.... a hammer and duct tape... fixes anything...
I used to install electronics. So I did it the easy way...Works great...
