    Bad news.

I spoke with a driver with Gemini last at the fuel desk. I made a joke that I could make good use of his fuel points. Then he proceeded to inform me that Gemini drivers are disallowed from using a Love's Reward card.

He proposed it might be due to the fact that their tanks bring in some 8,800 gallons of fuel per delivery and that might be too many points to give to a single driver.

Now we know the rest of the story.

I can understand them not getting points for fuel they deliver, but they oughta be able to get points for fuel they buy - unless the company gives them a discount instead.

When I was in Las Vegas I'd talk with the drivers from all over and Love's was one of them. It's seems way back when there were districts where the drivers pay would be listed their. It change within those regions. You would get less pay than a driver in Las Vegas than a driver in OK or Dallas. And you'd get higher pay in Los Angeles over a driver in Alb.NM. It all boils down to the cost of living in your area. You can make the lower pay if the housing cost is lower or the tax is at it's lowest.

I've worked for Gemini before and I think it's prob one if not the best local fuel hauling job you can get. Texas is the best place you can work for Gemini IMO. They're several reasons that contribute to this.
One, there's a lot of stores that you can deliver to that are within driving distance in a day.
2- you not only haul gas, diesel, bio, but they also have several ethanol accounts in the metro areas as well. More work equals more loads to be hauled.
3- the weather is usually always decent as far as roads concerned so no major downtime in the winter.
Gemini health insurance and benefits are really good. They offer daily guarantee. 5, 10 year BIG bonuses!! Quarterly bonuses and also yearly % increases on load pay based on seniority up until year 10 I believe.

Their application's kind of weird though. They expect you to fit all your work experience into a 1000 character box.

I'll go ahead and try that and see what happens. All in all, I'm probably going to have to consider a move again since none of the fuel companies are located or do any hiring out of the Clovis/Portales area.
