My shaker is 17900ish. 235wb. Freightliner/Detroit vs KW with a Cat. Add 2000 lbs minimum.
But it's all how they are built.

If you want to see some terrible shifting, you should see me driving with @Oxbow in the passenger seat. After all the miles I've driven ( not anywhere near where most of this group are) and different engine/transmission types, I somehow pressure myself to a point where I get too nervous to just drive.

You know @Lilbow mentioned being efficent. I got to thinking. That trailer wouldn't take much to heat. Put a bay window in one side or both for a office and a external speaker. You could give orders from the comfort of your mobile office/bunk house. Coffee hot in your slippers.

Mine is a ‘99, 265” wheelbase, aerocab, N14 with a 13 speed and 24.5 rubber.
With a quarter tank she’s right around 18,500, and that’s with a PTO and blower.
Get into the newer stuff with exhaust filters and the weight goes up fast. -
I'm not sure he could ever do that. It sounds nice to him but reality has him right in the middle of things getting his hands dirty and busting his butt ( even if his back goes out for 2 weeks). Toughest man I know.

You know I never liked door tags because it's a dry weight. Never tells you much. -
Shhhhh it's a joke.cke, 1951 ford, exhausted379 and 11 others Thank this. -
Just a few things:
1. Yes, we all think you’re weird.
2. Main thing I think about when pondering living off the grid would be medical care/help in time of emergency. They never have that in those shows.
3. I agree with this whole post. -
Yep, that’s why I weighed it after we put the blower on it. I still didn’t have all my tools/clothes/crap in it yet but it was 18,5xx with around a quarter tank. I thought I had a pic of the scale readout but apparently I don’t.
I swear the sucker gained almost 400 pounds the day I put 10 new tires on it though.
