NO START 2010 MAXXFORCE DT

So, it ran pretty well for about a month, and now she's having trouble in eco mode too. My DPF was clogged solid, instead of paying international another $500, i bought a power washer and cleaned it myself. I read that the turbo air control valve on this generation motor is of concern too.

I love Motor vac products, Something tells me this is what my issue is.

 

I'm curious how pressure washing it. I cant image that went very well. I've seen the high pressure air systems they use to blow these filters out. 1st gen regen systems are nightmares to say the very least.

 

It didn't work as well as I hoped it would, so I use a flame thrower first, till the honeycomb in the middle glows red on both sides, then i power wash it. It hasn't clogged up in a month.

 

By the way, I'm finally overhauling the high pressure oil delivery rail. I was using a lucas oil additive to thicken the mixture, but eventually it began to run rough again. The ICP went at one point, it was cranking forever, replacing that fixed that problem, but now even with the additive it's running terrible, so time to deal with that.
