Hello, quick question.
My business is registered in GA, where i have an office Space and I am set to register my truck/trailer next week. My IFTA, insurance and titles all have the GA address, my driver is based out of GA but my drivers license is from NY. Will i be able to register the truck and trailer

If he based out of GA he legally obligated to get a GA cdl. I think its within 30days...

They are 2 separate things. Like @Snakeschasingcars says, if the driver is based in a state, the CDL needs to be in that state. But registering the truck and trailer will have nothing to do with the driver's CDL.

I would say you probably can, I think. At least in TX the registration has nothing to do with the license of the person registering it. I don’t think I ever had to give them my license.
Just call your state office to confirm and then you’ll know. -
Just spoke to a Hotshot driver today, truck registered in Maryland, trailer in Maine and he has a Baltimore cdl...

I live in Ny. My company is in NY. I have 8 drivers. None in NY. All trucks are registered in NY. Hope that helps.
