It has been a life long dream of mine to drive a truck. In fact it was the first word I ever said. I used to get up as a kid to the sound of the garbage truck every week lol and wonder what it would be like to drive such a thing. On vacation trips I would sit in the back and pretend I was driving the big rigs that past by. I grew up got married and had kids and it put the whole idea on hold as I wanted to be there for my kids not to mention I made decent money at the job I had. I'm divorced now my kids are fairly independent I still make decent money but after 31 years in the same business i'm bored...i'm getting older I need to live a little. That being said, I don't know the advantages or disadvantages of driving my own truck or someone elses. I know you make better money in your own truck, I also know a bulk of it goes back into your truck. I also have no idea whos stuff you would move or how you get paid for moving it. On the other hand I have heard horror storys of company truckers being stranded or not being paid or paid right. I don't want to throw away what I have and I also don't want to look back and wish I had taken the chance. Happy trucking to you, Jeff
