Completely agree. I was brought up in this industry with that train of thought because we were never allowed to wear anything except our uniforms, no pins, or anything on your shirt or hat. It's completely okay to have whatever opinions and feelings you want but work is not the place.

What about the yard jockey stuff . im sure u could get early morning shift for that .. I always said to myself if i ever get a local job it will be the yard jockey job for the company called verco. They work 4 10 shifts . 3 day weekend. Every week. And all he does is back trailer to warehouse while they load metal roofing ,when hes done he drops trailer in drop yard , rinse and repeat. Such an easy gig. . lol i know what u mean tho. I have been running mornings and i rather be running 12am to 10am is my preffered shift but things have been crazy lately and havent had any motivation to get up early. Dont u guys have alot of sod farms out there to . something like that pulling piggyback flatbed truck . probably some nice early morning shifts delivering sod or construction materials to jobsites or something similar

Once in a great while prior to about 9-11 or so the 80's for example was a completely different time. People spoke their minds and no one got all wounded and hurt as they do today too easily. The moderators here have worked hard to keep me corralled at times when I go over the fence.

Somewhere in the generation born after about 1995 and aged into say 2010 time period was a time where they were probably taught to be PC in the extreme among other repressed problems that needs to be worked out normally by all children growing up.

I know how to be nice. But only with a very precious few people in life do we continue on as we were always been all of our lives because we understand each other and no feewlings get hurt. (Don't worry, if there was something to weaponise and say to someone there was plenty...)

Sometimes when I watch movies from that era say from 2000 on back into the 40's and before then even, its pretty shocking to today's young generation how badly we must have behaved back then to them today. But it was normal.

I hate to think where we are going but I take comfort that I will be dead then and not need to fuss about it. And that would be a saving grace to those who don't know how to live.

I had actually applied to American builders supply for a job like that....they called and told me $15/hr lol.....no thanks. I'm hoping I can figure something out at coke because I do like working here just need something that fits my schedule a lil better. I honestly think I'll eventually end up in food service, the hours are right, the pay is great, and I like the work.
