OK, I'll bite!
IF...And that's a big if, I was gonna rat someone out for something, first I would be man enough to go to that person and address the issue face to face! If at that point the issue could not be resolved to my satisfaction I would tell the individual in question that WE NEED TO GO SETTLE THIS AT A HIGHER LEVEL! Then I would take that person to whoever I was going to report them to and I would do it in front of them so as to leave NO QUESTION in anyones mind that I was a sneaky, backstabbin, crybaby rat that hides behind annonimity when I have something to say!
I would not...REPEAT!...NOT go to a message and slip around trying to be all mysterious about it...BE A MAN! Say what you have to say but doing it this was is utterly without honor...

Kelgar and redd, You don't read very carefully.
Also, IF (and it's not the case here) but IF someone is violating HOS rules WHICH MEANS THEY ARE DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL. Why would the person reporting it be the bad guy? I'm not talking minor stuff. I mean blatantly, sleep for 3 hours a day and drive the other 21 hours a day everyday stuff.
I think you people really need to cool down and think about this. -
Did you just get out of truck driver school?
Yes doing what you mentioned is illegal... But Nothing to get your panties all bunched up over. I'd leave it alone. Go do your own thing. -
In the other thread I was not threatening you, just stating what would happen if you were to go behind my back to FMCSA or the company higher-ups. Be a man and take your concerns to whom you have a problem with.
You will not get any information or suggestions here until you tell us what the whole situation is. You come off as a cry baby rat asking the questions you ask in multiple threads and not giving any information.kelgar50 Thanks this. -
Yep, I'll join the "this is pretty lame" camp on this one. You can't expect to get answers from people when you refuse to give the whole story because you can't see the keyboard well enough under your tinfoil hat to type.
Seems to me like you can just (literally) forget about the entire thing and go on your merry way - he'll get found out and dealt with eventually and if not? not your problem! -
If they are doing that it is something that they won't be able to hide from the company or the DOT for very long. It is still none of your business and if you are not man enough to go to them and deal with it straight up then you ought to MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS! That's really all that we're saying.
kelgar50 Thanks this. -
I wonder if he got a ticket recently for going over 100mph to get around the "train of trucks" in Atlanta?
-
Redd.....have you figured out what he says we are missing?I have read the post and don't think im missing anything here.
-
I read every word you wrote. I'm not attacking you at all. I just would like to hear the story. Without hearing the story, then we can't give you a honest opinion on what we think.
Did you witness him smoking meth & then climb behind the wheel of his truck? If yes, then I'd say it is your business. But what what lines he draws in his log book really isn't your concern. That is the companies concern. I'm sure they are probably aware of it as well & choose to overlook it if he is making them money. -
Black, I already tried that. Plus someone else in the company has already sent annonyomous letters to upper management. i suspect they think it's me since i originally did confront them face-to-face.
HONOR? You want me to have "honor" towards people that have none? You want me not to backstab someone who has backstabbed me? If i tell them i'm going to a higher level, then immediately the covering up begins. Things cool down for a while, then the same stuff starts happening all over. No, it won't work here.
It's like dealing with the terrorists. You don't give them any mercy because they don't deserve any.
If this was a case of a man struggling to feed his family and he thought that by running illegal he could do it then fine. BUT IT'S NOT THE CASE.
Will you all please trust me?
