The company I am with pulls smooth bores and compartment trailers. All company trucks are 13L 450/455 how. They are going to a all automated fleet. We also run super singles all the way around. I run loads to the PNW and Western parts of Canada. I have not had any trouble with the tires in the snow. We run a mix of Mack, International, and Pete's.

I pulled a smooth bore with a low roof volvo with the d13 and a 10 speed.
truck was fine I guess, had a lot of issues but I think they bought a lemon and our shop sucked. Under different circumstances I think the truck would have been fine. It was a light and comfortable truck though. -
